“I've worked with Jake remotely for several years. Jake is a dream to work with. His bright, positive, and can-do attitude supports his well-researched posts that are always meticulously written and on time. As an editor, if I don't understand the context of something he has written based on his experience in the field, nothing is too much trouble for him to explain the full picture to me. I must say, I really enjoy working with Jake and his many contributions.”

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I work with small to medium-sized SaaS businesses that want to level up their content game. You might not have a marketing person, or your marketing team might need some additional help.
I’ve been lucky to write for brands like Atlassian, Help Scout, Freshworks, PartnerHero, and more.
-
I’m not just a writer. I’ve worked in the trenches of tech companies, small and large. I take that experience and apply it to my business.
If you were to ask my current and previous clients what they like about working with me, I imagine they would tell you I’m easy to work with.
You get clear communication, fair pricing, and on-time deliverables.
-
I price based on outcomes and the value delivered, not word count or hours spent.
Monthly strategy and execution retainers start at $2,500
For one-off projects, I charge a flat fee starting at $1,000, depending on scope and project type.
If it's our first time working together, I charge a $500 onboarding fee. This covers product/competitive research and developing an understanding of your brand voice, team, and working process.

The sooner you submit revision requests, the better, as the project is still fresh in my brain.
I ask that revision requests be delivered within 30 days of the draft submission.
If revision requests are submitted more than 30 days after delivery of a draft, I will consider the project complete. Any additional revisions at that point will be treated as a separate project, for which I will provide an estimate and timeline.
-
For one-off projects, I will deliver a draft within two weeks after receiving all deliverables.
For retainer clients, I will deliver drafts by the end of the month.
-
For monthly retainers, I send the invoice on or around the 1st of each month.
For one-off projects, I invoice once I submit the draft.
Payment is due within 30 days. Late payments are subject to a 5% late fee.

AI can be an effective tool for conducting research and workshopping ideas. I use AI to help refine structure and clarity. I see it as a tool to enhance my work, not replace it.
AI detection tools are not always reliable. While I ensure my writing is high-quality and original, if needed, I’m happy to make adjustments to align with specific guidelines on AI use.
My focus is on creating high-quality content that humans love to read, and that search engines and LLMs can easily find.

Yes, I’ll send a very simple contract to sign prior to getting started.

To stay focused and productive across client projects, I typically keep communication to email and Google Docs comments.
